Ladybird children's books will be celebrating their centenary this year.

This year the Ladybird books that were founded in Leicestershire will be celebrating their centenary. The first Ladybird book was published in 1915 by Loughborough based printers 'Wills and Hepworth'. Well the centenary takes place this year, and there's much being planned in Leicestershire to mark the occasion. Ashleigh Jayes is the co-ordinator of the "Ladybird project" for Charnwood Borough Council...and she told us what they have planned in this, a very exciting year.
