Andrew Ramroop, the first black tailor on Savile Row, told Today: "I left Trinidad aspiring to be a Savile Row tailor, so I came directly to Savile Row." "I had made myself two suits in Trinidad. I wore one and I carried the other and I came along to Savile Row looking for a job." "I didn't understand racism to the extent that I learned later on. I was highly qualified but was turned down for approximately nine jobs." First broadcast Today programme 30 December 2014.
