Hear some examples of attempted phone scams in Jersey

Kevin Pamplin

Available for over a year

The police and banks are again warning people not to be duped by telephone con artists as new figures suggest phone scams have increased in the past year. An estimated 24 million pounds has been tricked out of unsuspecting victims - up from 7 million pounds in the previous twelve months. Telephone fraud typically involves criminals calling people and convincing them they're speaking to their banking card provider or a police officer. Kevin Pamplin asked for islanders to call & talk to him about their experiences so hopefully others can be more aware of the sort of calls people are getting here in Jersey starting & ending with the Airtel Vodaphone CEO Ian Campbell..
