YouTube Signs Indie Music Deal

Big Boss Interview

Available for over a year

YouTube signs a deal with thousands of independent music labels, ending a long-running spat over its streaming service. The move paves the way for the imminent launch of YouTube's music subscription service. Also, some of the world's biggest banks brace themselves for another round of mutli-billion-dollar fines - this time for allegedly rigging currency markets. And, we crack open a row over mayonnaise as a new brand, Just Mayo, attracts the anger of bigger, rival firms like Hellmann's, who have accused it of misleading consumers because the product does not contain any eggs. Plus, we hear about the cutbacks silencing musicians at Rome's Opera House. We are joined throughout the programme by Vicky Mohieddeen, who runs travel firm Koryo Tours, which specialises in North Korea, and also Lizzie Oleary, the host of Marketplace Weekend, our sister program at american public radio.
