European Union demands $2.7bn extra towards its budget from Britain

Britain is the biggest loser as the European Union demands more money from some member states. The European Commission reviewed the economic performance of all its members since 1995 and found that Britain, the Netherlands, Italy, Greece and Cyprus all performed better than expected and should therefore pay more towards the EU budget. France, Germany, Denmark, Poland and Austria are all due to get a rebate. Also, we talk to the boss of Ukraine's Naftogaz to get the latest on its supply row with Russia's Gazprom. Plus, shareholders in banana company Chiquita vote against a merger deal with Irish rival Fyffes. As a result, Chiquita will enter into talks with Brazil's Cutrale and Safra following their $14.50 a share offer.
