Thousands filled Belgrave Road last night for the switch on of the Diwali lights. The roads closed at 5.30pm to make way for the event, which included dance acts and music from the main stage - as well as a firework display to end the night. The switch-on marks the start of the Diwali festival, with Diwali Day falling on October 23rd. BBC Radio Leicester's Kamlesh Purohit and Viant Siddique were there
