Huawei - Immitator or Innovator?

Business Daily

Available for over a year

Huawei may be the world's biggest telecoms company, but the Chinese giant is distrusted in the US. The BBC's Linda Yueh gains unprecedented access to the company, including an exclusive interview with chief executive Guo Ping. Professor Yang Qiang, one of the firm's top researchers, tells Linda about Huawei's new teleconference instant language translation software. She also speaks to analyst James Lewis of the Centre for Strategic and International Studies about why America harbours suspicions about Huawei's intent, and to brand expert Martin Rolls about the Chinese challenger's chances of taking on the likes of Apple and Samsung.
