Stop for the lollipop!

Jim Davis and Jo Hayward

Available for over a year

They help 1000's of children across our roads and now a campaign has been launched to make sure Leicester's 'lollipop' men and women get the respect from drivers that they deserve. It's the law for all motorists to stop for a school crossing patrol, but in reality, many at the 46 sites across the city don't. Instead, the wardens face people failing to stop, driving around them when they're in the road, getting too close, and even revving engines and swearing. New posters will be put up outside selected schools in Leicester reminding people to "stop for the lollipop, it's the law." BBC Radio Leicester's Bridget Blair has been to visit some school crossing patrols to see what it's like out there for the warden
