An 18th century slave who became Nottingham's first black entrepreneur is being commemorated with a blue plaque. It’s believed to be the first plaque in the city erected to a person of African descent. It's after a project was set up to raise awareness of the life of George Africanus by Belong Nottingham, a community development charity.
