Nyabinghi music is the traditional drumming music of Jamaica's Rastafarian communities, named after Queen Nyabinghi, a traditional African goddess. It's a hypnotic trance music, involving chanting with words from the Psalms or Christian hymns, and the style is very much at the roots of reggae. This session was recoeded at the Rastafari Boboshanti Nyabinghi Church.
