Test Vaccine Against Ebola May be Tried on Volunteers in Britain
World Business ReportAvailable for over a year
A GlaxoSmithKline test vaccine against the ebola virus could be tried on volunteers in Britain starting from next month. Also on the programme, Germany's Chancellor Angela Merkel is hosting a conference in Berlin today focussing on whether and when the remaining "Western Balkan states" will join the European Union. The definition of the "Western Balkans" is: Bosnia and Herzegovina, the 'Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia', Montenegro, Serbia, Kosovo and Albania. Plus, energy giant Shell has had long links with Nigeria, but now it has reached a deal to sell off some of its oilfields in the country. Shell is just the latest oil company to sell off assets in Nigeria, which can be a difficult environment for foreign businesses to operate in.
