While the US economy is edging back towards growth, a new report highlights the problems of mounting public debt. Debt levels are now almost twice what they were at the start of the financial crisis. We talk to Chief Investment Strategist of Blackrock, Russ Koesterich, who wrote the report. So how worried should we be? Pippa Malmgren is an economic policy expert who used to be Special Assistant to President George W Bush. She says the biggest concern now must be the effect of what any, even small rise in interest rates, will have on ordinary consumers. Also, from Senegal, a new project aiming to get girls into technology, and Lucy Kellaway on the holiday conundrum: when is it ok to just delete a work email?
