Vikie Shanks, mother of seven

Outlook

Available for over a year

Vikie Shanks is British mother who has seven disabled children. Six of them are autistic, two also have cerebral palsy and one is severely dyslexic. Vikie has been bringing these children up on her own after her husband killed himself in 2007. The fact that she has seven children is even more remarkable when you find out that at the age of fifteen she was told that, because of a medical condition, she would never be able to get pregnant. Her story has recently become the subject of a book.
