Pakistan and Chile

From Our Own Correspondent

Available for over a year

Pakistan is trying to clear up its own backyard. The military is in the midst of a major offensive, begun in June on the border region with Afghanistan. A sanctuary, even by its own accounts, for militants of many hues. But Andrew North questions just what a clean sweep means in this case. When the 19th Century playwrite Oscar Wilde said "we all live in the gutter but some of us are looking at the stars," he could have been talking about a restauranteur in Chile today. Ed Stocker went to sample his wares.
