The Trends in News Consumption

Over to You

Available for over a year

A rapid move towards accessing news on mobile and the emergence of new forms of ‘weird’ or ‘fun’ news are two of the findings of the latest Reuters Institute Digital Report. Rajan Datar finds out from the report’s author how the latest trends in news consumption are developing around the world, and what they mean to listeners of the World Service. And he finds out how people are creating their own ‘fun’ news in reaction to news events, such as the spoof internet comments created in response to the recent Luis Suarez biting story at the World Cup.
