Criticism over the state of Greenbank Cemetery in Bristol

Steve Le Fevre At Breakfast

Available for over a year

No respect for the dead? Bristol's Greenbank Cemetery, where hundreds of people who died during the Blitz in World War Two, is being reported as overgrown and neglected. There are now complaints that people can't even find where their relatives are buried. The Mayor Of Bristol tweeted that he will be chasing the Bristol Council contractors about this but he is out of the country. The council declined to come on the programme this morning to answer listener concerns. Steve Le Fevre speaks to Gloria Dayman, who has been visiting her family plot for the past 60 years at the cemetery, and local Eastville Councillor Mahmadur Kahn about how overgrown the cemetery is.
