Nigeria, Armenia, Syria

From Our Own Correspondent

Available for over a year

Will Ross meets the pupils who must brave Boko Haram's threats and continue to attend school in Kano - and asks what kind of education they're getting. Hannah Lucinda Smith is in Yerevan, tracing the complexities of Armenia's history with Syria. Once Aleppo was a haven for those fleeing Ottoman massacres, who found a place where they were safe to speak Armenian alongside Arabic and practice their Christian faith. But since civil war against Bashar al Assad's regime broke out they've been trapped once again in a cycle of sectarian war and a desperate flight from it. Producer: Polly Hope
