Calais camp migrant: 'I just want to go to England'

5 Live In Short

Available for over a year

French authorities are expected to clear camps in Calais, where Syrian and other migrants have been living for months. The authorities say the migrants pose a health risk since there has been a scabies outbreak, and there is no running water or sanitation. It's part of ongoing tension in the city where thousands of immigrants arrive with hopes of reaching the UK. Our World Affairs Correspondent Paul Adams spoke to some of the migrants. One refugee described his five and a half years of travelling as 'more than hell'. This clip is from 5 live Breakfast, 27 May 2014.
