A conference called 'Postnatal Depression: The Impact on Dads' is running in Birmingham on Wednesday. Despite 1 in 10 men being affected by PND it's an area where the effects on men are often underestimated. Some think services are too 'mummy-centric' and that dads are often forgotten about before, during and after childbirth. For example experts are calling for more attention to be paid to fathers after recent research showed they can suffer from post-traumatic stress following difficult labours.
