A member of Ofcom's Advisory Council for England has called for more to be done to help increase the number of Black and Asian people working in broadcasting. Barnie Choudhury, who's from Leicester, says he's concerned that the eye has been taken off the 'racial diversity' ball. It follows a recent lecture at BAFTA by the comedian Lenny Henry and Sir Trevor McDonald warning that the media risks an "apartheid" system. Mr Choudhury has worked for over 30 years as a radio and TV correspondent. In this extract he speaks to BBC Leicestershire’s Kamlesh Purohit about how things have changed over the past few decades…
