Graffiti from the 1940's discovered in Whitchurch

Eric Smith and Clare Ashford

Available for over a year

Have you ever scrawled your name on a wall or on your desk maybe at school? A naughty way of reminding people you were there.? Well staff at a Whitchurch charity- ' Big Red's House'- discovered a wall covered with names and messages which date back to the 1940's. Amongst the names were those of a young couple, the then Doris Young and Les Mills. The organisation decided to see if they could track the couple down. BBC Radio Shropshire's Naomi Dunning went along to see how they got on.
