Ukraine Sanctions Tightened

Big Boss Interview

Available for over a year

As the United States imposes more sanctions against Russia following its annexation of Crimea, two senior US senators tell Mark Whittaker why they think the US and its allies need to take even stronger action. Senator Carl Levin, who's the chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee and Senator Dan Coates both want to see further sanctions which they think will stop the crisis worsening. Plus Shu Choudhary, an entrepreneur from India, tells us about an innovative mobile phone service he's devised which brings the latest news to rural communities, making local people into citizen journalists. And regular guest David Freedman joins Mark from Boston to discuss the day's news.
