Available for over a year
World Have Your Say and World Service Languages team up with BBC radio stations throughout the UK to bring a series of programmes to look at issues of interest to different diaspora communities. In a three-way partnership we will bring presenters from each national or local BBC radio station together with presenters from BBC World Service English and the different World Service Languages. Each programme is broadcast live around the world on the BBC World Service and on the local or National BBC station – uniting different communities in a unique link up. Each broadcast has a live audience who debate topics put together by the BBC radio stations and the Language services. They respond to questions and comments from our international audience. The third programme is from Radio Manchester presenter Mike Sweeny. He will be joined by Umber Khairi from BBC Urdu service and Chloe Tilley from World Have Your Say in the broadcast from The Irish World Heritage centre and will focus on the Pakistani community in Manchester and the challenges faced by the different generations in Manchester.
