"Too black to be white, too white to be black"

Reya El-Salahi

Available for over a year

It's the country's fastest growing minority ethnic group but young people from a mixed race background are facing disproportionate challenges, according to new research. A report published this week by the charity, the National Children's Bureau, found that mixed race youngsters are significantly over represented in the youth justice system, the child protection system and at greater risk of mental health problems. In this extract, the report's co-author, Dinah Morley, speaks to the BBC's Reya El-Salahi about some of the challenges young, mixed race people are facing.
