Australia: Snake fights crocodile and eats it face first

5 Live Drive

Available for over a year

Who do you think would win a fight between a snake and a crocodile? In the Australian state of northern Queensland the answer is…a snake. A 10 foot snake, thought to be a python, wrestled the crocodile in the water at Lake Moondarra, near Mount Isa, on the Leichhardt River; and after killing it brought it to the bank to eat, locals report. It was captured on camera by Tiffany Corlis, who told 5 live’s Peter Allen that the snake ate the crocodile face first, in about 15 minutes: “It was just amazing, from the point that it actually started to eat it, it only took about 14, 15 minutes, which shocked me because it was a fairly a decent sized croc. “You could make out its legs and its spines along its back; you could actually see it constricting and pulling it through its stomach even.”
