Dumping Green Light for Great Barrier Reef

World Business Report

Available for over a year

The largest living structure on Earth is the Great Barrier Reef in Australia - and developers have been given permission to place 3 million tonnes of mud and silt near it as part of plans to create one of the largest coal ports in the world. The BBC's Phil Mercer looks at the economic advantages and environmental consequences. In China the new lunar year is being celebrated - and a record 3.6 billion individual trips are being made in the great Year of the Horse getaway. We also look at the huge amounts of money being exchanged in English Premier League football and the frenzy that ensues as the transfer window closes. Finally a look back at the week's biggest business stories with Peter Coy from Bloomberg in the US, and Katie Martin in London from the Wall Street Journal. (Image: Getty)
