Leicester's mayor wants the city's riverside area to be regenerated. While cities like Birmingham and Nottingham have invested millions into making the most of their waterside districts - much of the area which lies along the River Soar in Leicester is unoccupied, derelict, strewn with litter and, sadly, an eyesore.
