Nassim Nicholas Taleb, considers the significance of random events - how one man's disaster is another's victory and why it matters. He is a professor of risk engineering at New York University and the author of a series of books on randomness, including The Black Swan and more recently, the bestseller Antifragile - which discusses how we can all learn and profit from random events.
