Dementia has been described as a “global disaster waiting to happen” and looking after sufferers currently costs economies more than $600 billion a year. The number of people with the condition is expected to rise from 44 million today to 135 million by 2050. But at a summit in London, UK Prime Minster David Cameron, has promised double funding for dementia research in an attempt to find a cure. Also, Canada Post will be phasing out home deliveries within the next five years. Millions of households will be affected and 8000 workers will lose their jobs. Why has this decision been made?
