How Safe is Doing Business in Iraq?

Business Daily

Available for over a year

Iraq - a security nightmare for business or a land of commercial opportunity? We have an exclusive report from the BBC's Andrew Hosken in Baghdad about a group of British companies that have been assessing the prospects there. Plenty are willing to put up with all the drawbacks - the safety concerns, the expensive, time-consuming precautions, the issues with corruption. But a country with the third largest oil reserves in the Middle East surely has immense money making potential and not just for firms directly involved in getting the stuff out of the ground. We hear from founder of pressure group Out on the Street, Todd Sears, about the push for more change in the financial world to improve conditions for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender employees. And as the US Senate discusses virtual currencies we ask would you rather have sea shells, dollar bills or bitcoins in your pocket?
