Ban the ingredients not the drug, says drug support worker - Luton

Nesta McGregor

Available for over a year

The founder of a drug and alcohol support group in Luton, helping teenagers recover from mephedrone addiction, is calling for a ban on the sale of legal highs. Often sold online as "bath salts" or "plant food", figures show the substances were responsible for 52 deaths in England and Wales last year. Mephedrone is now a Class B drug but some similar brand names have not yet been banned. The founder of Walk To Freedom Mark Clarke speaks to Nesta McGregor about the dangers.
