The bush fires in the Blue Mountains near Sydney in south-east Australia have destroyed hundreds of homes. Bush fires are to be expected in Australia, but not usually so early in the season, months before the real summer heat. As Jon Donnison reports, this has rekindled the debate in Australia, about whether climate change is to blame for the fires. Many people still associate Vietnam with the controversial war that the US fought there in the 1960s and 1970s. But in the country, half the population is under 25 and doesn't remember the war. And as Rajan Datar found, young people have very different ideas and aspirations than their parents did.
