Pascale Harter introduces tales of undeserved reputations - undeservedly good, or undeservedly bad. Hugh Schofield lets off steam about his pet hate: the Champs Elysees avenue in Paris. It used to be hailed as the most beautiful street in the world, with real estate prices to match. Now though, Hugh finds that the avenue is crass, naff, even seedy, while still expensive. Parisians themselves no longer go there. Christine Finn travels to a place where tourists no longer go. Jaywick Sands, a small seaside town on the Essex coast east of London, has seen better days. It's now ranked the most deprived in Britain, based on its levels of unemployment, people on benefits and crime. But, as Christine finds out, the place is not as bad as its reputation, not at all....
