How to Find Treasure

Business Daily

Available for over a year

Yes, you really can make a living searching for wrecks laden with gold and silver - but don't expect it to be easy. We speak to Sean Tucker of the US company Galleon Ventures. He's spent four years searching in the Western Carribean and claims to have found a wreck containing gold and silver worth $500 million. It sounds thrilling but the reality of treasure hunting can be less than glamorous. The aptly named veteran treasure hunter Rex Cowan left a comfortable life behind when he gave up his job as a lawyer almost half a century ago to dedicate himself to seeking out wrecks and their valuable cargos. His advice is "don't expect to get rich quick". And from pirate booty to booty calls: we explore the links between sex, love and money with the economist Marina Ashade.
