Mexico and Algeria

From Our Own Correspondent

Available for over a year

Will Grant reports from the Mexican resort town of Acapulco, where survivors of the recent hurricanes are housed in a sports hall, struggling with their grief at the loss of children or other close relatives who died in the mudslides and floods caused by the storms, while drug cartels make the area unsafe. Edward Lewis visits Algeria where the locals can still enjoy the waters in the well-preserved, ancient Roman baths, and where tourists are so rare that he has other Roman sites, including one with a still-intact market place, all to himself.
