Louisa Loveluck reports from Sinai on the Egyptian army’s clampdown on armed militants, and on the civilians who have become 'collateral damage' in this fight, with houses being blown up, sometimes without warning and with children still inside. And, Tim Ecott, a frequent traveller to the Seychelles, finds that supermarket shelves and island hotel buffets are well-stocked now that the former socialist one-party state is embracing the free market economy.
