Last Hours Before US Shutdown

Big Boss Interview

Available for over a year

The U.S. government appears to be on the brink of a partial shutdown, after the Senate and House of Representatives both refused to back down in a partisan clash over funding for President Barack Obama's healthcare programme. We have the latest live from our correspondent in New York and ask how long any shutdown could last. Also we speak to an Italian businessman and former senator in Silvio Berlusconi's PDL party who tells us he disagrees with the former prime minister's call for PDL ministers to pull out of the ruling coalition. Plus, the latest business stories from India with our correspondent Rahul Tandon and discussion with our guests Simon Littlewood at the Asia Now consulting group in Singapore and Charlie Herman, business and economics editor at WNYC public radio in New York.
