Hinckley Town Plans

Jonathan Lampon

Available for over a year

Plans to regenerate Hinckley town centre are back on this morning, after the local council agreed to provide more than 10 million pounds in funding to developers. The proposals were put into major doubt earlier this year, after a leaked letter from Sainsbury's suggested they were no longer interested in the development. But now the first parts of the scheme - which includes a new cinema and bus station - is expected to be completed in March next year. Jonathan Lampon was joined by Liberal Democrat leader - Stuart Bray and the leader of the Conservative opposition - Peter Batty.
