Positive US Jobs Numbers

World Business Report

Available for over a year

The number of new jobs created in the US last month was well ahead of most analysts' forecasts. Is this a sign of recovery in the US? Could this be the end of monetary stimulus? In Brazil, the poster child for the country's economic boom, Eike Batista, is dealing with a major bust. The Brazilian billionaire is having to pick up the pieces of the major conglomerate he owns, after it collapsed. And, a country in economic turmoil - the Greek government is under pressure to shed 4000 public sector jobs - or lose the next instalment of its bail out cash from the EU, the IMF and the European Central Bank. Nigel Cassidy is in Athens with the latest.
