Assad's warning to Israel

World Have Your Say

Available for over a year

Syria's President, Bashar al-Assad, has warned Israel that he will retaliate in kind to any future air strikes on his country. He is likely to acquire the capacity to do so after ordering the implementation of a contract with Russia of ground-to-air missiles. Mr Assad added: "There is clear popular pressure to open a new front of resistance in the Golan." It's the latest development in a series of events through the week that have seen the Syrian crisis expand into neighbouring countries. We're particularly keen for your reaction to this if you live in Syria or Israel.
