Resurrecting the Colwick cheese...

Ben Jackson on BBC Radio Leicester

Available for over a year

It's the artisan cheese fair over the weekend in Melton and of course Leicestershire and Rutland has a great history of making cheese, in fact cheese making throughout the whole country is going through something of a renaissance at the moment. Some of those cheeses have fallen by the wayside over the years of course, some because, frankly they weren't very nice, but some because of the way we buy our food nowadays. Well, one of those, Colwick cheese died out years ago, but has been resurrected by Alan Hewson on his farm in Eastwell near Melton.
