Inside the Towers Hospital...

Talking History

Available for over a year

History has been made on the site of the former Towers Hospital in Leicester, with the last appointment of the very last person to be treated there in it's 140 year history. Much of the site of the hospital, formerly the Leicester Borough Mental Hospital and Estate, has already been sold off. Now staff are working on plans to create a virtual museum online of memories, photographs and memorabilia from both staff and former patients and service users. BBC Radio Leicester's Bridget Blair went inside to meet Dave Woodcock, who is leading the legacy project, and Eddie Hasman, a former nurse at the hospital.
