When the struggling internet giant Yahoo appointed former Google executive Marissa Mayer to be it's chief executive, the markets were waiting for a bold strategy. Now she's made her move, announcing a deal to take control of microblogging site Tumblr, in a deal worth $1.1bn. We look at the thinking behind the move, and ask whether Ms Mayer has chosen the right strategy. Plus, we ask whether a meeting between President Obama and Burma's one-time military hardman-turned reformer Thein Sein lead to a more thorough warming of relations between the two countries.
