Shereen talks with Dr Alan Marcus an award-winning New York documentary filmmaker whose career has taken him from the mail room of 20th Century Fox to (among other places) the Canadian Arctic, Hiroshima a few months after the Fukushima accident and Dachau concentration camp. Currently, Head of Film and Visual Culture at the University of Aberdeen, Dr Marcus combines his academic, ethnography and film work, while continuing to travel the globe making his observational documentaries.
