What is the true etiquette of air travel here - and why is he so haunted by other people's luggage? In Ecuador, there was far warmer feeling about Quito's old airport, despite its infamously risky location. Landing a plane there used to be quite an art - but the site also revealed much about the country's attitudes to travel and emigration. Irene Caselli takes the last flight out.
