Using knitting in the fight against crime

Jonathan Lampon

Available for over a year

If you thought knitting was just a harmless pastime... then think again! It's now being used by police in Leicester in the fight against crime. So-called 'guerilla knitters' have been encouraged to drape their handiwork along stretches of Great Central Way in the city. It's hopeful the colourful stitching will brighten-up the urban landscape, especially around Bede Park, and make people in the area feel safer. BBC Radio Leicester's Christian Hill has been to Great Central Way to find out more.
