As we celebrate International Women's Day, Manuela Saragosa and her guests ask why we get so exercised about women and work. Is the argument about the intrinsic worth of having a diverse workforce, is it about the economic imperative, or is it simply a question of fairness? And why is it worth companies' while to make the effort to develop women's careers when they return from having children? Fiona Woolf, partner in the London law firm, CMS Cameron McKenna, Wanjiru Kamau-Rutenberg, Executive Director of Akili Dada in Kenya, and Mara Swan, Senior Executive Assistant of the Manpower Group, try to figure out whether the debate is about the battle of the sexes or whether it's about career choices that have to be made regardless of gender.
