Caribbean Connections: 10 years of twinning Reading and Barbados

Louise Chandler

Available for over a year

Reading doesn't have the sun, sea and sand of Barbados. But the Berkshire town is marking 10 years since it was formally twinned with Speightstown - the island's second largest town, located in the parish of St Peter. Anderson Connell, who was chair of the Barbados and Friends Association when the twinning took place, tells BBC Berkshire's Louise Chandler why the twinning works.
