Dark clouds in Mali and wandering through Bangladesh

From Our Own Correspondent

Available for over a year

In Mali, French-led forces quickly organised to fight back against an Islamist rebellion in the north. The militants capitalised on a Touareg rebellion in the north of the country and took control of several major towns before outside troops moved in. Tim Whewell has been in Mali, and he wonders if there are ugly scenes to come, if some Malians follow through on threats to settle old scores. Also on the programme, Rani Singh travels to the richest part of Bangladesh. Sylhet is a fertile, beautiful land, but its wealth comes not from home-grown industry but rather from the remittances sent by relatives overseas. Presenter: Pascale Harter Producer: Mike Wendling
