#WHYS Latest from Mali & reaction to Gerald Scarfe cartoon

World Have Your Say

Available for over a year

We get the latest from Mali where French-led troops have recently seized the town of Timbuktu from Islamist extremists. Residents were seen cheering Malian and French troops as they entered the city yesterday. We will update you on the latest, and get reaction from the region. Also, Robert Murdoch has apologised over a Gerald Scarfe cartoon printed in the UK’s Sunday Times he has described as ‘grotesque and offensive’. The cartoon appears to depict Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu, building a brick wall containing the blood and limbs of Palestinians. It has been described as anti-Semitic, and all the more offensive as it was published on Holocaust Memorial Day. We hear your reaction.
